The latest quarterly statistics report from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) reveals that low-cost carrier Thai Vietjet has topped other airlines in terms of domestic cargo carried.
The airline, an associate company of Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air, gained 42.2 percent of the market share in domestic air freight in the third quarter of this year. It also saw over a quarter or 25.6 percent of passenger share in Q3.
Thai Vietjet earned the top spot for both passenger and cargo for the first time and ranked first amongst all six carriers registered in Thailand.

The carrier, which operated its first commercial scheduled flight in September 2016, has expanded its young and modern fleet to 16 aircraft
In early November, the airline commemorated its 10 millionth passenger, marking another significant milestone of the airline after its 5th anniversary in mid-September 2021.
The airline operates 14 domestic routes from Bangkok, cross-regional flights from Phuket, eight routes connecting Thailand and Vietnam and international routes from Thailand to China
