UPS said the certification validates cold chain freight service offering at the four locations as being ‘aligned to global best practices.’
The company went through rigorous preparations across its operations to secure the accreditation, including product handling and transportation, staff competency, procedures, risk assessment, and infrastructure.
UPS first secured the certification in Asia for its freight forwarding operations at Changi International Airport in Singapore in 2019. It plans to pursue certifications for other locations, including Shanghai, Beijing and Sydney.
