IAG Cargo is looking to lead the charge in promoting sustainable cargo operations with the appointment of Saleem Saeed as its new sustainability manager.
Saleem will use his previous experience and expertise within the construction sector to lead the sustainability strategy across IAG Cargo’s business, whilst engaging partners and customers to join on this journey.
The new sustainability manager will build on current initiatives and drive forward new ways of minimising the carbon footprint across the organisation. IAG Cargo is exploring the expansion of its electric fleet and has already started trials on the use of an electrical terminal tractor.
Jenny Critchley, IAG Cargo’s chief transformation officer, said the new post reinforces the company’s dedication to pioneering eco-conscious practices within the air cargo sector. “Saleem has a passion for sustainability, so I have no doubt that he will make this role his own, leading IAG Cargo into a new era of responsible operations. His passion for innovation and transformative change aligns seamlessly with our vision to be ‘Fit for Future’,” Critchley noted.
