Cathay Cargo Terminal recently celebrated its 10th year of full operations at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and revealed the new international branding in front of customers and friends.
As part of the international rollout of the terminal’s new marketing brand, ‘Cathay Pacific Services Limited’ and ‘Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal’ will now be known as Cathay Cargo Terminal.
Over the last decade, the terminal operator has handled over 11 million cargo unit load devices (ULD) for 1.4 million flights and processed 16.3 million tonnes of cargo. It now serves 18 partner airlines at Hong Kong Airport and is looking to build and expand its success in three key areas, namely, digital leadership, sustainability leadership, and expanding its footprint into the Greater Bay Area. The company is also investing to provide a reliable cold chain solution for pharma and perishables.
“Our 10-year anniversary is the perfect time to roll out our new brand internationally as we look towards future growth with HKIA’s Three-Runway System being fully operational from next year.”
The terminal hosted a VIP dinner party attended by its former chief and guest of honour, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong, Algernon Yau, who saw the construction and opening of the facility during his tenure with the aviation group. A special lunch party was also organised for staff, tenants and subcontractors.
