Swissport International is growing its cargo operations in Spain with a new warehouse at Zaragoza Airport (ZAZ), in the north-east of Spain, which opened its doors in October.

The new 4,000-sqm terminal will provide cargo handling services for general and express cargo with 14 truck docks for fast pick-up or delivery of air freight. Swissport has also implemented self-service cargo kiosks, door management systems, slot booking and Bluetooth ULD tracking to enhance efficiency and add value.

This is Swissport’s first time to provide cargo services at Zaragoza, where it has been operating since 2015, with passenger services and ramp handling.

The ground and cargo handler’s network now covers five airports in Spain (including Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Valencia and Zaragoza).
