Atlas Air has taken delivery of another Boeing 777 Freighter, completing the first set of four aircraft that it will operate on behalf of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA. 

This aircraft adds further capacity for the forwarder’s existing weekly air freight service, including a route from Hong Kong (HKG) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). 

Atlas Air ordered the four freighters in January 2022, and the inaugural 777F was delivered in November 2022, with the second and third widebody cargo aircraft delivered in July and November 2023, respectively. 

Atlas Air is now operating four 777Fs on a global basis for MSC under a long-term ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) agreement. In the last quarter of 2023, it added 2 more production widebody freighters into its Boeing orderbook, which are scheduled to delivered in the second half of 2024.
