Frankfurt Cargo Services (FCS), the largest independent cargo handler at Frankfurt Airport, has appointed Federico Mosqueira as its new director of operations.
Mosqueira has more than 20 years of experience in operations management in the air cargo and supply chain industry with several stints at LATAM Airlines in the Americas and Qatar Airways based in Doha.
FCS said the 45-year-old, who started on 1 January 2024, is familiar with Frankfurt due to his time as director handling operations Europe at LATAM Cargo. More recently, Mosqueira worked with Amazon where he was a key player in launching Amazon AIR in Europe.
Mosqueira succeeds Christoph Cyranek, who took over the position from Markus Schneefuss on an interim basis in August 2023.
“He is an ideal fit for FCS, both professionally and personally, and we are convinced that he will quickly help us significantly in mastering the challenges that are currently driving the cargo industry,” said Claus Wagner, managing director of FCS.
“We would like to expressly thank Christoph Cyranek for his commitment and his great work during the transition phase.”
