Silk Way West Airlines, a leading cargo airline in the Caspian and Central Asian region, is taking a strategic step towards aligning its corporate goals with eco-friendly initiatives as it partnered with logistics technology community Logipad.
Logipad is a leading provider of electronic flight bag (EFB) solutions for the aviation industry. The company’s platform facilitates a shift towards digital documentation and communication, reducing reliance on traditional paper-based processes. EFB solutions are electronic information management devices that can help flight crews perform flight management tasks more efficiently with less paper and can also host purpose-built software applications to automate manual functions, such as take-off performance calculations.
The term ‘electronic flight bag’ is derived from a pilot’s carry-on flight bag, which usually includes the operating manual, navigational charts, etc, Payload Asia learned.
Silk Way West Airlines said joining Logipad will not only enhance its global logistics solutions but also contribute to environmental conservation through a new programme designed to reduce paper and wood consumption in its logistics processes.
Wolfgang Meier, president of Silk Way West Airlines, said the carrier is dedicated to making responsible choices that benefit the planet and the communities it serves.
