The cargo carrier has plans to extend its network on the leading digital platform
American Airlines Cargo today announces a strategic partnership with CargoAi, a leading digital enabler in the air cargo industry. This collaboration will aim to elevate airfreight booking capabilities on CargoMART, CargoAi’s cutting-edge platform for freight management with the addition of the carrier’s extensive network.
Through this partnership, American Airlines Cargo will begin to seamlessly integrate into CargoMART, offering freight forwarders access to a comprehensive network of routes and a streamlined booking process. The advanced technology and functionalities of CargoMART are a compliment to the carrier’s own digital booking platform, aacargo.com, thus enhancing the digital experience for customers seeking capacity and managing bookings on American’s cargo network.
“Partnering with CargoAI is a significant step on our modernization journey,” says Greg Schwendinger, President of American Airlines Cargo. “We are excited to expand our network and capacity onto an innovative platform like CargoMART and provide customers with a new digital solution for doing business with us.”
Matt Petot, CEO of CargoAi, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are delighted to join forces with American Airlines Cargo, a global leader in air transportation. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing our users with best-in-class digital solutions that optimize their operations and drive efficiency in the air cargo industry.”
CargoMART provides a range of features, including real-time capacity & rate visibility, quoting, e-Booking, and Track and Trace functionalities. One differentiating feature of the platform is the ability to compare flight options by carbon emissions, track CO2 emissions at a shipment level, and purchase sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) whenever required.
With the integration of American’s network and products, CargoMART users will benefit from more options and enhanced booking flexibility when booking capacity that meets their needs. Following integration, the cargo carrier will have exposure to more than 16,000 freight forwarders across more than 130 countries who regularly use the CargoAi marketplace.
The partnership with CargoAi and American represents a mutual dedication to innovation and excellence in airfreight services, further solidifying their position as leaders in the industry.
