Telair International GmbH announced that it has received contracts from Airbus for the design/development, manufacture and support of the Lower Deck Cargo Loading System (contains integrated mechanical and electrical system) for the A330-200F, lower deck only and the A350XWB aircraft family.
Telair is also system supplier for the A330-200/300 and A340-300 aircraft. The first system (A330/A340) will go into service in 2008. The first delivery of the A350XWB system will be made to Airbus in year 2010.
Meanwhile, Telair recently achieved FAA-Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Main Deck Cargo System on the first B747-400 BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter). The first BCF in the world to enter service, was delivered in December to launch customer, Cathay Pacifi c Airways, by Xiamen, Chinabased Taeco.
Customers for the B747-400BCF, as well as for the Main Deck Cargo Loading System, include Japan Airlines, Korean Airlines, Martin Air, Singapore Airlines, Air France, Dragon Air, and Guggenheim Aviation.
Telair currently holds a backlog of 25 firm and 18 option orders reaching out until 2010, which represents 100 per cent of Boeing¡¯s current conversion order base.
