CHAMP Cargosystems has launcheda new Internet service directed towardsimplifying and speeding up the bookingprocess of express shipments.

Working with specific requirementssubmitted by COPA Courier,eXpressWEB was designed anddeveloped to make the express shipmentbooking task as simple as fillingout just one Web form.

The service responds to the userwith the total charges of the shipmentallowing the user to make modificationsuntil they are satisfied.

Once the booking is submitted, acopy of the air waybill can be printeddirectly from the user’s PC workstationand attached to the package ready forpick up.

Details of past bookings are maintainedby eXpressWEB and the shippingcustomer can review them andeven reprint air waybills. And, of course,the shipment can be tracked as itprogresses through to delivery.

Shippers and users are added tothe service by airline staff using simpleonline forms. The airline has completecontrol over shipping companies andcan set up stock control for eachshipper, set discount percentages, fuelcharges and other fees.
