DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist of the Deutsche Post DHL Group, has introduced its new LifeTrack mobile app available for iOS and Android systems. Th e free application grants users on-the-go access to DHL’s proprietary online cold chain tracking and management platform LifeTrack. Th e app provides customers in the life sciences and healthcare industry an overview of their shipments, alerts about any in-transit issues – such as temperature excursions, and instant support through round-theclock access to cold chain experts.
“With the LifeTrack app, we meet our customers’ need for increased visibility and convenient access to the main features of our browser version while on the go,” said David Bang, global head of DHL Temperature Management Solutions and CEO, LifeConEx, DHL Global Forwarding. “Our mobile application provides customers with immediate overview of the most critical information, such as temperatures, interventions and shipment resolutions, all in an intuitive mobile design.”
Upon completion of key logistical events or detection of potential irregularities, the app informs the user and also provides details about measures taken where required. In case further support is needed, DHL’s cold chain advisors can be contacted 24/7 directly from the app.
