Transportation and logistics company SPARX logistics sets up a joint venture with Patagon Logistics. SPARX will establish a firm base of business in Chile, one of the strongest and most stable economies in the Latin American market.
“Chile is an excellent point of entry for SPARX,” commented David Pupco, president Americas. “It’s a great country, and a good strategic location within the region. In addition to serving accounts based in Chile, one of the objectives of our joint venture is to spread our brand throughout Latin America.”
Based in Santiago, Patagon Logistics offers full-service air and ocean freight forwarding, as well as value-added solutions such as customs brokerage, domestic trucking and P.O. management. In addition to serving as Chile’s most important air freight hub, Santiago – strategically located within 150 kilometres of the ports of San Antonio and Valparaiso – is home to decision makers for the majority of the country’s import and export business.
“In Chile, service is key,” noted Juan Manuel Rojas, country manager. “Like all offices in the SPARX network, we provide a level of customer service that differentiates us from our local competitors, based on a strong foundation of flexibility, responsiveness and dependable IT support.”
