The Airport Authority and Hong Kong’s Labour Department jointly kicked off the first Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Virtual Job Fair, which will run from 12 to 13 November. 

Over 500 job openings with around 30 companies across the airport community are up for grabs, covering different aspects of airport operations, including air cargo, airport security, baggage handling, technical services, engineering, and customer service.

Aside from free registration, participants can visit the virtual booths of participating companies online, browse vacancies and chat with company representatives directly for job applications and interview arrangements. 

The Airport Authority said around 6,000 participants have pre-registered. 

The online job fair will also feature six career talks hosted via live webcast over the course of two days. Representatives from participating companies will provide information on a wide variety of roles in the aviation industry. 

“While different airport companies are offering job openings in their respective specialised fields, AA’s Management Trainee Programme and Graduate Engineer Programme are now open for application. We believe that when the pandemic subsides and global air travel recovers, the industry will once again thrive and continue to provide employment opportunities,” Florence Chung, executive director, human resources & administration at AA, expressed in a statement.
