Asia Cargo Network (ACN) has been recognised with the ‘Cargo Handling’ award at the recent SBR National Business Awards for its remarkable achievement in its market expansion within Indonesia.
ACN said its air cargo service market expansion project in Indonesia aims to bolster its market share through the implementation of several key strategies, including the establishment of a new airline, the expansion of the Asia Cargo Airlines fleet, and the construction of an aircraft maintenance facility.
ACN’s subsidiary, ACN Aero Aeroteknik, has injected a substantial US$10m investment for the construction of an aircraft maintenance facility at Kertajati International Airport. It has also inked two ‘head of agreements’ with airport owner and local government enterprise Bandaruda Internasional Jawa Barat.
The introduction of RGA-Black Stone Airlines has also been instrumental in expanding the group’s footprint in Indonesia. It has already increased its fleet size to three aircraft and secured the newly approved air operator certificate (AOC).
The ACN Group also highlighted the expansion of its Asia Cargo Airlines fleet from one to five aircraft. The company said it is dedicated to expanding its presence in Indonesia and other regions while continuing to diversify its offerings.
Last year, Asia Cargo Network won the Rising Cargo Carrier of the Year category at the 9th edition of the Payload Asia Awards.
