Scotland has the worst postal service in the UK, according to the Royal Mail’s own fi gures. The six poorest performing postcode areas in Britain for delivering fi rst-class mail the next day are north of the border and had the lowest percentage of post delivered ontime in the fi rst quarter of 2007. Posindo boosts online services
State-owned postal company PT Pos Indonesia, or Posindo, has expanded online payment service by connecting 2,000 offi ces into the network by the end of this year. First domestic freighter for India Post
India’s Department of Post recently launched a full-fledged domestic freighter service here for the fi rst time by the re-branded Air India. The freight service will operate to and from Kolkata and from the rest of the country to Guwahati, Imphal and Agartala as part of the postal department’s effort to improve its mail network and infrastructure in the Northeast states.
