FedEx Corp. profi t rose 4 per cent in its fi scal fi rst quarter but saw its domestic express traffi c fall and reported a sharp 30 per cent decline in the operating profi t for its FedEx Freight LTL trucking business. One-stop clearance for Shanghai
China's eastern city of Suzhou has started co-operation with the Customs at Shanghai's Pudong Airport and Wuxi airport to offer one-stop clearance for international express cargo, Xinhua reports. A customs clearance express cargo facility, which has been built in Suzhou, recently started operations. Local shippers and freight forwarders now only need to go through clearance procedures at the new facility instead of clearing the airport customs in Shanghai or Wuxi again.
