PHILIPPINES: Ombudsman to probe air cargo graft

JAPAN: Nippon Express staff at Heathrow strike
Warehouse workers at the British arm of a Japanese logistics company went on strike for two days last month in a row over pay and changes to shift patterns, their union said. A total of 37 workers at Nippon Express Co’s Heathrow Airport warehouse began a two-day strike, the Unite union said. It follows an earlier 24-hour walkout last month. Japan Airlines said it will launch a B767 freighter service to Vietnam, which will operate a Kansai (Osaka)– Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh – Kansai(Osaka) routing. JAPAN: ANA to launch service to India
Japan’s second largest carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) launched the fi rst non-stop service between Tokyo- Narita and Mumbai in early September. The airline will offer a six days a week service using a Boeing 737-700ER on the 9,000-km, nine-hour fl ight.
