Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on 17 April signed an agreement with Sharp Technics K and Incheon International Airport Corporation, to establish a facility for the passenger-to-freighter conversion of Boeing 777-300ERSF aircraft ,dubbed the Big Twin, in South Korea. Airbus China’s Tianjin facility delivers first A321neo
Airbus has delivered the first A321neo aircraft assembled at its final assembly line in Tianjin, China, to Juneyao Air. The aircraft was commissioned at the Chinese facility in November last year and will join Juneyao Air’s existing fleet of A320, A321 and B787 Dreamliner aircraft. Saudi's latest airline Riyadh Air on 14 March announced a multi-billion deal with US manufacturer Boeing with an order of up to 72 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner airplanes. Apex Logistics International is set to offer air cargo capacity on the last 747-8 freighter to come out of a Boeing production facility as part of a long-term charter agreement with Atlas Air. The 747 has played a key role in Boeing's history of aerospace leadership. On 6 December, the last produced widebody aircraft bid adieu to the widebody factory in Everett, Washington. The production of the world's first twin-aisle airplane, also known as the queen of the sky, started in 1967 and the first aircraft entered service in 1970. Malaysia grants STC approval for AEI’s B737-800SF
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) last week received approval for its STC (ST02690LA) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia for the company's 12-pallet position B737-800SF freighter conversion. AEI is currently the only conversion company to have ETOPS 180 approval on the 737-800 freighter conversion, which offers a main deck payload of up to 52,700 lbs. (23,904 kg).
