Dubai Airports sees double-digit growth
Dubai Airports has posted doubledigit growth in both cargo and passenger traffic in February. Dubai Airports Cargo and Logistics handled a total of 171,707 tonnes of freight in February 2010, up 26.7 per cent over the same month in 2009. Düsseldorf celebrates new Emirates B777F
Emirates SkyCargo now operates a weekly brand new B777F aircraft direct from Dubai to and from Düsseldorf. This flight replaces the B747F which was routed via Malpensa. Emirates has also up-sized one of two daily passenger flights from an A330-200 to a B777-ER, which provides an extra seven tonnes of cargo per flight. Air freight forwarders are worried about the handling quality at Frankfurt airport, according to the German DVZ Brief.
