The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has approved an air operator’s certificate for Ningxia Cargo Airlines, which is to become the first cargo carrier to be based in the west of the country, the Ningxia Autonomous Region. China to tap airport economic zone strategy
China will build model airport economic zones in pilot cities, the country’s aviation watchdog has announced according to Xinhua. The move is aimed at supporting the development of airports, a new engine for regional growth and industrial upgrading, according to a statement from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Air China Cargo to begin new YEG, DFW service
Air China Cargo (ACC) has announced a new maindeck service to North America from 3 September. The B777F service will see six flights a week Shanghai-Edmonton-Dallas- Edmonton-Shanghai Edmonton making it the carrier’s first scheduled freighter destination in Canada. Recently a news item crossed our path and piqued our curiosity. It seems a little blunder by cleaning staff triggered an emergency slide of a Cathay Pacific B777 to inflate, delaying 277 travellers bound for Chicago recently. The aircraft was parked at the terminal building at Hong Kong International Airport undergoing servicing by ground crew and cleaning staff.
