TNT announced recently that it will make a further €4.5 million investment in its Asia Road Network (ARN), which currently serves six countries and 127 cities in Southeast Asia and southern China. IATA success in standardising cargo liability
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced the standardisation of cargo liability limits. With effect from 1 July 2010, the Air Waybill (AWB) Conditions of Contract (IATA Resolution 600b) have been changed to harmonise the application of the Montreal Convention liability limit for all air cargo across all routes. FedEx posts full-year $1.2 billion profit
FedEx Corporation posted a full-year net profit of US$1.2 billion, up from last year’s $98 million. Revenue was down two per cent at $34.7 billion. For the fourth quarter, revenue climbed 20 per cent ona year-on-year basis to $9.4 billion. The group’s Express business was the key driver of the uptick with a 23 per cent increase in daily shipments in the fourth quarter with a 23 per cent rise in revenue, hitting $5.9 billion.
