German cargo handler Celebi Cargo Frankfurt has upgraded to the latest version of the Hermes air cargo management system. Hermes IT and cargo experts were on hand during the switchover with both Celebi stations at FRA upgraded overnight and back to ‘business as usual’ by early the next morning. Malaysia Airlines will be the first carrier to implement global flight tracking using SITA OnAir’s AIRCOM FlightTracker, starting this summer. Swiss WorldCargo to test drone deliveries
Drones will soon be used to deliver packages in Switzerland as part of a pilot project by Swiss Post. Tests are already underway in the US in a collaboration with Swiss WorldCargo, using drones by California manufacturer Matternet, a firm primarily focused on developing airborne options for health care in developing countries.
