Vietnam Airlines, which carried more than 106,000 tonnes of freight in 2006, up 9.8 percent year-on-year, will be partially privatised next year, press reports in Vietnam said, citing the communist government. JAPAN: Kansai Airport planning to double cargo capacity
Kansai Airport said it will double the capacity of its air cargo terminal in plans made by the airport operating firm for the second phase of construction, The Yomiuri Shimbun reported. The airport, located on an artificial island in Izumisano, Osaka Prefecture, is set to open its second runway on Aug. 2.
