Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo has joined forces with Rhenus and Cargonaut in launching e-Fast Delivery, a new concept to simplify the cargo delivery process. LAN Cargo has signed an agreement to outsource the repair and maintenance of its ULDs and pallets at Miami International Airport to CHEP Aerospace Solutions. Airbus has begun final assembly of the first A350-900 for Singapore Airlines at its facilities in Toulouse, France. The aircraft is the first of 70 A350 XWBs ordered by the airline and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2016. PAL bans lithium-ion batteries as cargo
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines has joined other international carriers in banning the shipment of lithium ion batteries due to the potential fire hazards posed by such type of cargo.
