The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that February 2010 international scheduled air traffic showed continued strengthening of demand. Compared to February 2009, cargo demand grew 26.5 per cent while passenger demand was up 9.5 per cent. DHL and American Airlines Cargo have started offering joint training to educate pharmaceutical customers on how best to comply with the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP). The training includes discussion on the required process for becoming a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). WFS to handle Air China cargo at Paris CDG
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) will handle some 18,000 tonnes of cargo a year for Air China at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport after its agreement with the airline was extended to include new freighter flights. Air China has commenced a twice-weekly Boeing 747-200 all-cargo services from Paris to Shanghai and Beijing, which also offers connections to other major cities throughout China. IATA: January volumes continue upward trend
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that January 2010 demand for international scheduled air traffic showed continuing improvement, with international cargo demand up 28.3 per cent with only a 3.7 per cent increase in capacity.
