Abu Dhabi airport cargo up 5.7%
Abu Dhabi Airports reported a 5.7 per cent increase in cargo tonnage handled in July 2014 when compared to July 2013, reaching 67,456 tonnes. Aircraft movements reached 13,188, representing a 16.1 per cent increase over the 11,355 movements reported in July 2013 and the airport also recorded a 21.7 per cent increase in passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport for the month of July. China Southern Airlines has launched a new B777F freighter service between Los Angeles International Airport and Tianjin, China. The 13-hour direct service marks the only dedicated cargo route linking Tianjin and North America.
