United Cargo will completely replace its current fleet of LD3 containers with the purchase of 8,500 new Herculight S containers designed by Zodiac Aerospace’s Rotable Equipment division. Hong Kong Airlines has placed an order for 40 Nordisk AMV main deck cargo containers for its fleet of A330â€200F aircraft. Air freight recovery strengthens, says IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced August 2014 data for global air freight markets showing continued robust growth in air cargo volumes. Measured by freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), volumes rose 5.1 per cent in August, compared to August 2013. Capacity grew at a slower pace of 3.4 per cent from the previous year.
