DSV Panalpina is eyeing to ramp up its e-commerce game as the Danish company announced plans to acquire Prime Cargo, owned by Japanese logistics group Mitsui-Soko, including the forwarding company’s business in Denmark, Poland and China. DSV boosts air charter capacity on transatlantic route amidst peak season
DSV has added airfreight charter services to the United States to accommodate the surging demand during peak season on the transatlantic route. The logistics provider has started flying airfreight part charters twice a week to New York JFK from Belgium (LGG) since 19 October. Maersk transported its first airfreight shipment from Thailand to Nagoya after the integration of Damco’s airfreight and LCL services into Maersk’s product portfolio earlier this month.
