Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) will be the launch customer for the AEI B737-800SF programme. GECAS plans to convert up to 20 of its Boeing 737-800NG passenger aircraft to freighters. The first aircraft is scheduled for conversion starting in 2016 and will achieve FAA supplemental type certification (STC) in 2017. Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace) has signed agreements with Airbus and Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) for a collaboration to launch the A320/A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion programme. ACMG: Market needs 125 new freighters per year
Demand for freighter aircraft continues to trend higher, according to a newly-released forecast issued by the Air Cargo Management Group (ACMG). KAL-ASD to manufacture wingtips for A330neo
Korean Air Aerospace Division (KAL-ASD), the aerospace manufacturing division of the Korean Air Group, has been selected by Airbus to supply new Sharklet wingtip devices including a wingspan extension for the A330neo – the new variant of the A330 Family of widebody aircraft. PEMCO delivers B737F to China Postal
PEMCO World Air Services (PEMCO) has redelivered its latest B737-300F (MSN28158) to Beijing-based China Postal Airlines EMS (CPA), the fourth passenger-to-freighter conversion under the current five-aircraft agreement.
