Boeing and Emirates SkyCargo announced an order for five more of the world's largest and longest-range twin-engine freighter, building on its earlier purchase of five 777 Freighters. Boeing announced that its Board of Directors has elected Robert K. "Kelly" Ortberg as the company's new president and chief executive officer, effective August 8, 2024. Korean Air signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Boeing on July 22 at the Farnborough International Airshow to upgrade and expand its widebody fleet.
