Swire Pacific said it has formed a joint venture with Air China unit Air China Development Corp (Hong Kong) and SkyWorks Capital of the US to provide a range of fi nancial advisory services to the aviation industry throughout the Asia Pacifi c region. Swire said the JV, which will be called SkyWorks Capital, seeks to provide such services to clients such as airlines, banks, lessors and investors. Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) said its cumulative tonnage from January to July 2007 was 350,164 tonnes achieving an increase of 0.7 percent against same period last year. Accumulated export cargo volume was 234,863 tonnes; up 1.4 percent while import cargo volume from January to July was 112,561 tonnes, slightly up by 0.7 percent on a year-on-year basis for the respective period last year. CHINA: YRE starts Shanghai- Luxembourg service
Yangtze River Express Airlines (YRE) last month started a new freighter service between Shanghai and Luxembourg, in a move to explore the overseas freight market and secure a fi nancial turnaround, Xinhua News Agency reported.
