Leading aircraft lessor AWAS has completed the delivery of its first aircraft to SwiftAir, an airline that specialises in long and short term contracts for major global logistics operators including DHL, FedEx, TNT and UPS. UPS faces law suit over measurements
A suit seeking class action has been filed in US District Court in San Francisco against UPS Inc., claiming that the Atlanta-based integrator “routinely uses an inaccurate measurement system that causes thousands of franchise store owners to be back-charged for higher shipping rates.” UPS was not immediately available for comment. MIDDLE EAST: Emirates orders more ‘superjumbos’
Emirates airline has reaffirmed its order for 43 Airbus A380s and has signed a contract for a further four aircraft. Dubai’s government-owned airline, which already has the largest number of the ‘superjumbos’ on order, will now receive 47 of the $300million planes.
