Indonesian startup SiCepat Ekspres, an e-commerce logistics provider, has raised $170 million in a series B round last week, as the company aims to expands its logistics capabilities in a bid to expand to other markets in Southeast Asia. Air freight rates jump in week 8 as Asia rebounds post-CNY
Asia Pacific is gaining momentum after a slow start post-CNY, as air cargo volumes from the region jumped 21 percent week-over-week, according to the latest data from WorldACD. In week 8 of 2021, worldwide volume went up 8 percent versus week 7, whilst worldwide capacity increased 7 percent. Atran and AirBridgeCargo successfully delivered aircraft engines for MRO services to Yakutia Airlines from Russia to France, displaying the The 1,520-kilo shipment, which included two Pratt & Whitney engines for the Bombardier Q-300 (PW123), was transported using Atran's 737-800BCF from Yakutsk to Krasnoyarsk on 8 February.
