Emirates to reactivate DWC for freighters on 26 March

Emirates is reactivating its cargo hub at Dubai South (DWC) for dedicated freighter operations starting 26 March 2022. The move marks a return to the airline’s dual hub cargo operations in Dubai after a period of nearly two years when the airline consolidated its freighter (main deck) and passenger (belly hold) cargo operations at DXB during the onset of the pandemic back in April 2020. Emirates resumes US operations amidst 5G setback

Emirates is set to restore full schedule to all its US destinations by Saturday after earlier recommendation by the FAA and Boeing to ground certain widebody aircraft amidst a nationwide 5G rollout. Emirates invests US$1 billion to boost cargo operations

Emirates announced that it will invest AED3.6 billion (US$ 1 billion) to provide more air cargo capacity. It revealed the order for two new Boeing 777 freighters and conversion orders for four of the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft.
