DHL and the UNDP enhance disaster relief
Deutsche Post DHL together with its subsidiary DHL and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have announced an enhancement to their services in the area of disaster management with the launch of GARD (Get Airports Ready for Disaster), aimed at making worldwide relief eff orts more effective. Express integrator TNT has opened a new Philippines-based depot in San Fernando, Pampanga province north of Manila. Japan Post pulling out of cargo JV with ANA
Japan Post Service Company is planning to pull out of an international air cargo joint venture with All Nippon Airways, according to a Jiji Press report. Japan Post Service, a subsidiary of Japan Post Holdings, intends to sell its entire 33.3 per cent stake in the cargo carrier, ANA and JP Express to the airline company, the report said quoting unnamed sources.
