No green shoots for Europe’s carriers
Latest figures from the Association of European Airlines cast doubt on the idea that the industry is seeing green shoots of recovery. Overall cargo traffic for the continent’s carriers was 15.1 percent year on year in August, compared to 16.8 percent in July. Leading carriers also showed no significant improvement. EUROPE & CIS: European air cargo falls 20.7% in June
European airlines saw their cargo volumes fell 20.7 per cent in June compared to last year, according to the Association of European Airlines (AEA). The association also noted an accelerating decline in European air trade with Asia Far East and Australasia, with traffic falling 24.9 per cent compared to a year ago.
