Hong Kong's Swire group has has announced another in what appears to be a fairly regular management shakeup, which will see James Woodrow move from director of cargo at Cathay Pacific Airways to the shipping side of Swire’s vast business empire. Cathay, Dragonair April cargo traffic up 5.2%
Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried 144,579 tonnes of cargo and mail last month, an increase of 5.2 per cent compared to the same month last year. The cargo and mail load factor fell by 0.5 percentage points to 62.6 per cent. Capacity, measured in available cargo/mail tonne kilometres, rose by 7.3 per cent while cargo and mail revenue tonne kilometres (RTKs) flown increased by 6.3 per cent.
