MASkargo has successfully transported a pair of giant pandas from China to Kuala Lumpur on 21 May. Fu Wa and Feng Yi were onboard MASkargo’s own A330-200 freighter which recently was repainted with a special livery for the occasion. Two additional B747-400BCFs will join the Air China Cargo (ACC) fleet by the end of March, making them the last of four freighters Cathay Pacific had last year announced it was putting into its joint venture with Air China. A senior Chinese aviation official threw himself in front of a railway train this week, the Xinhua news agency said, attributing his suicide to ongoing corruption investigations that have shaken the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
