UPS will pay more than US$25 million to settle charges it submitted false claims to the federal government in connection with delivery of Next Day Air overnight packages, the US Department of Justice said. The settlement stemmed from a whisteblower lawsuit filed in federal court in Virginia by former UPS employee Robert K. Fulk. Jettainer sets up new company in the US
Jettainer has set up a new company, Jettainer Americas Inc., in Delaware. Just last month, Jettainer took over the global management and maintenance of containers and pallets on behalf of American Airlines. New branches will be opened in central locations in the US as part of the expansion. This will include a presence at Dallas/Fort Worth, the largest hub of new customer American Airlines.
