Qantas customers will take to the skies on Waltzing Matilda, Boomerang and Quokka as the airline revealed the names for its fleet of eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The public had the opportunity to vote on what they thought the final eight names should be and the votes are in. EVA Airways orders US$8 billion worth of B787-10s, B777-300ERs
EVA Airways has finalised an historic order for up to 24 B787-10 Dreamliners and two B777-300ER aircraft. The order, valued at more than US$8 billion at current list prices, marks the largest single commercial airplane purchase in Taiwan aviation. Qantas posts best profit since before the GFC
Qantas today announced its strongest profit since before the Global Financial Crisis and an order for eight B787-9 aircraft, to be delivered from calendar year 2017 to gradually replace five older B747s to start a "new era" for Qantas International. IAG Cargo will begin cargo services with its new B787-9 Dreamliner this October, five times weekly on the London Heathrow-Delhi route.
