In response, on 1st July 2014, the FAA issued TSO-C203 to provide a minimum standard by which manufacturers can design, build and supply a fully certified fire containment cover (FCC). FAA fines Neovia Logistics for hazmat violations
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a civil penalty of US$116,250 against Texas-based Neovia Logistics Services for allegedly violating hazardous materials regulations. The FAA alleges that on 11 July 2014, Neovia offered a package of six one-gallon containers of corrosive liquid to UPS for shipment by air. United faces US$1.3M cargo safety fine
United Airlines faces US$1.3 million fine over cargo. The Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday that inspectors found at least 120 violations during 2013 inspections in Boston, San Francisco, Denver and Chicago. Safety regulators also said that United twice improperly accepted hazardous material for air shipments. Precision gets winglet 757MZFW upgrade approval
Precision Aircraft Solutions has received FAA approval for a new maximum zero fuel weight (MZFW) increase on both winglet- and non-winglet-equipped Precision Conversions freighters. The most recent upgrade authorisation allows Precision to further increase MZFW as high as 200,000 lbs. (90,718 kg) to 12,000 lbs.
