IAG starts Colombia route, reconnects with Cuba
From this summer, IAG Cargo is starting a new route into Colombia and reopening its route into Cuba. The new services will connect Cali and Medellín in Colombia and Havana in Cuba to IAG Cargo's worldwide network of 350 destinations, and will bring the total of IAG Cargo gateways in Latin America to 19. IAG Cargo revenue drops 7.5%
IAG Cargo has announced its 2014 full year results, reporting commercial revenue (flown revenue plus fuel surcharges) of €992 million (approximately US$1.11 billion) over the period from 1 January to 31 December 2014, a decrease of 7.5 per cent on 2013. Finnair Cargo has become the latest carrier to join IAG Cargo’s innovative Partner Plus programme, through which members agree to interline on each other’s metal on a commercially booked basis. IAG Cargo joins all-in pricing bandwagon
IAG Cargo is joining other carriers such as Emirates SkyCargo, Qatar Airways and SAS Cargo in rolling up fuel surcharges into an all-in rate. IAG will drop its fuel surcharges (FSC), effective with the start of the Summer season. This will apply to all markets except Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan, where local regulations on surcharges apply. These countries are Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan.
