IAG Cargo marks world wildlife day with jumbo donation
To celebrate World Wildlife Day IAG Cargo has released two images of Kenyan-based orphaned elephants who received a donation of airline blankets from the cargo operator, keeping the young elephants warm during the winter months. More than four hundred blankets were donated at the end of last year to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a wildlife conservation charity that runs a rehabilitation programme that cares for baby elephants. IAG Cargo donates blankets to charity
It is the season of goodwill and IAG Cargo has organised a charitable collection from across the IAG family for special causes in Kenya. IAG Cargo shipped four pallets of blankets and sleeping bags from London to Nairobi. The donation travelled 4,255 miles and arrived just in time to help keep children warm this winter. IAG Cargo collected over 400 cabin blankets and 150 crew sleeping bags, the majority of which will be donated to Kenyan school children in need. Flower trade blooming for IAG Cargo this Valentine’s Day
In the two weeks prior to Valentine’s Day, IAG Cargo has reported an 18 per cent increase in volumes of flowers moving from Columbia and Ecuador when compared with the same period last year, with carnations and roses dominating the floral shipments from Latin America. IAG Cargo sees 6.5% drop in Q3 revenue
IAG Cargo has today announced its Q3 2016 results, reporting commercial revenue of €240 million over the period from 1 July to 30 September 2016, a decrease of 7.0 per cent compared to 2015. Adjusting the prior year's figures to reflect a directly comparable operation, commercial revenue decreased 6.5 per cent versus last year at constant exchange.
