Global cargo demand contracted 8 percent YoY (-9.9 percent for international operations) but grew 3.7 percent over the previous month in September, whilst global capacity shrank 25.2 percent YoY (28 percent for international operations), data from IATA showed. The Cool Chain Association (CCA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) supporting the drive for the safe, sustainable transport of perishables and pharmaceuticals. IATA’s Glyn Hughes to bid adieu to cargo head post in January
IATA confirmed that Glyn Hughes, head of cargo, will leave the organisation by end of January next year, as part of a restructuring process. IATA appoints new SVP for financial and digital services
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has appointed Muhammad Albakri, IATA’s regional vice president for Africa and the Middle East, as senior vice president for customer, financial and digital services (CFDS) effective 1 March 2021, a press release confirmed.
