Last week (2 February 2023) IAG Cargo safely delivered the skeleton cast of the world’s largest known dinosaur—Patagotitan mayorum—on a shipment from Buenos Aires to London Heathrow. The Natural History Museum partnered with IAG Cargo to deliver the full cast of the titanosaur ahead of its exhibition in London, ‘Titanosaur: Life as the biggest dinosaur,’ which will run from 31 March 2023 to 7 January 2024. Changi restores connectivity as cargo dips in 2022
Cargo flows at Singapore Changi Airport dipped slightly in 2022 no thanks to global economic uncertainty and inflationary pressures. Airfreight throughput was down 4.8 percent year on year at 1.85 million tonnes. Changi’s top five air cargo markets for 2022 (in order) were China, Australia, the US, Hong Kong and Japan, with traffic in December slipping 17.3 percent to 153,000 tonnes. TAM Group expands in Vietnam with China Cargo
Hong Kong-headquartered GSSA, TAM Group, has opened three new offices in Southeast Asia and has embarked on joint ventures with Thailand’s GP Group and Vietnam’s TP Cargo Transport Services to launch offices in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
