IAG Cargo has restarted its London Heathrow to Sydney route for the first time since early 2020, as Australia reopened its borders to vaccinated passengers all over the world. Starting 27 March, IAG Cargo will utilise a B787-9 widebody aircraft with the capacity to transport up to 13 tonnes of cargo (10 compatible pallets) on a daily rotation. IAG Cargo adds widebody capacity to serve holiday rush
IAG Cargo is set to increase its capacity between London Heathrow (LHR) and Hong Kong (HKG) this month with the expected consumer demand during holiday sales events like Singles Day, Black Friday and Christmas. Flights are up 30 percent for November and there will now be 11 weekly flights each week between the two cities, the carrier noted. In the latest series of management changes circulating the aviation industry, IAG announced that British Airways' Alex Cruz will step down as CEO but will remain as the airline’s non-executive chairman. Cruz, who took the job in April 2016, will be replaced by Aer Lingus CEO Sean Doyle. IAG Cargo has today announced that it will be launching a new four-times weekly route to Santiago, Chile starting from its winter 2016 schedule. Operated with a British Airways B787-9, the service will offer customers a weekly lift of up to 3,360 tonnes into Latin America. Engine fire forces BA 777 to abort take off
A British Airways aircraft engine caught fire in Las Vegas as it was about to take off for London, Gatwick Tuesday night (US west coast time), forcing all 172 passengers and crew to escape down emergency slides as smoke and flames engulfed the aircraft. Govt’ gives green light for Aer Lingus stake sales
The Irish parliament gave International Consolidated Airlines' (IAG) bid for Aer Lingus the final go-ahead. Irish MPs voted by 74 votes to 51 in favour of the deal, according to local media reports.
