Aer Lingus to accept takeover bid from IAG

The BBC has reported that Aer Lingus will be taken over by International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways and Iberia Airlines. According to several news sources, IAG pitched its latest proposal at €2.50 a share, valuing Aer Lingus at about €1.3 billion (approx. US$1.5 billion). IAG Cargo relaunches London-KL service

Starting 27 May 2015, IAG Cargo will offer its full range of cargo services on the new British Airways passenger flights operating between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur. Price-fixing investigation spreads to SA

South Africa's Competition Commission has referred eight air cargo carriers to the Competition Tribunal for alleged collusive behaviour that took place over a ten-year period, from 1996 to 2006. British Airways seeks to spread blame in UK cartel case

British Airways has asked a UK court to add Air France-KLM Group, Cathay Pacific Airways and 30 other carriers as defendants in a court case over a price- fixing cartel for air cargo services.
