The Irish parliament gave International Consolidated Airlines' (IAG) bid for Aer Lingus the final go-ahead. Irish MPs voted by 74 votes to 51 in favour of the deal, according to local media reports. AAC expands seasonal service in UK, Ireland
American Airlines Cargo has introduced three new UK and Ireland service points to its summer schedule for 2015. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Shannon will all see the introduction of flights from the USA starting in May. Cargo service between Glasgow and Philadelphia has commenced yesterday (3 May), and service between Edinburgh and New York’s JFK as well as Shannon and Philadelphia will begin on 7 May. Turkish Air to launch Shannon-Chicago
Turkish Airlines has been granted permission to carry air cargo from Shannon to Chicago, starting immediately, and will become Ireland’s only direct all-cargo service to North America. European airport trade body, ACI Europe released its traffic report for February. The report is the only air transport report which includes all types of civil aviation passenger flights: full service, low cost and charter.
