KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced Pieter Elbers as its new president and CEO, replacing the outgoing Camiel Eurlings with immediate effect. Elbers has worked for KLM since 1992 when he joined as manager of aircraft handling at Schiphol. At its recent Investor Day, Air France and partner KLM Royal Dutch Airlines have outlined their proposed "Perform 2020" strategic growth plan which was originally outlined in July 2014. Deutsche Bahn’s logistics subsidiary Schenker has filed a lawsuit against certain air cargo carriers operating in the US market, allegedly claiming damages for illegal fixing fuel and security surcharges for shipments from, to and within the US from 1999 until at least 2006.
